EPS Lighting the Candle Introductory Tours
Each month EPS hosts information sessions at various locations in the dioceses it serves. These free, one-hour events – held in the EPS classroom, or in parishes or homes around the diocese – are called EPS Lighting the Candle Introductory Tours. The purpose of the Lighting the Candle Tour is to introduce and involve people in the vital EPS mission of educating adult Catholics in the faith so they can share it and better serve their families, parishes and communities.
With talks by the EPS president and trustees, as well as graduates who offer personal accounts of the impact EPS had on their lives, the Lighting the Candle Tour is used to explain EPS to those unfamiliar with the 33-year-old program, and to re-engage EPS graduates, friends, and parish staffs in EPS’s essential work of teaching the faith.
