Overview
Education • Parish • Service (EPS), is a Scripture, theology and spiritual development program for adult Catholics that enables them to understand their faith so they can live it and share it in their homes, parishes, and communities.
EPS offers students three options for learning:
Working with the local dioceses and parishes, EPS offers certificate programs in three locations:
• Campus of Trinity (Washington) University, Washington, DC (Archdiocese of Washington)
• St. Ann’s Church, Arlington, VA (Diocese of Arlington)
• St. Philip Church, Norwalk, CT (Diocese of Bridgeport).
The EPS Forum also is available at St. Philip Church, Norwalk.
Since 1978, some 2,770 students have earned their EPS certificates. That EPS training has enabled Catholics to serve or take leadership roles in various parish ministries. Many are spreading the faith as catechists, RCIA team members, lectors, extraordinary ministers of the Eucharist, or in other areas such as pro-life, homeless, or prison visitation ministries.
In addition, EPS students and graduates are better able to share their faith with their families, and “put it to work” in their communities and workplaces.
