VIRGINIA DAY

Gregory Byrne, Director

The EPS Virginia Certificate Program integrates Scripture, theology, spirituality and practical application of the faith into each course to enable students to better synthesize Catholic teaching. Designed in four-, six- and eight-week units, courses build students’ confidence for speaking about the faith as well as taking leadership roles in the parish and community.

Graduates are invited to come back to EPS to continue their spiritual education and development through the courses. In addition, Catholics who want to be more effective in their lay parish ministry, but are currently unable to enroll in the certificate program, are invited to attend single courses, with their pastor’s recommendation.

The series examines the history of apologetics in Catholic tradition and offers skills for answering questions and sharing faith in the home and parish and with neighbors and friends.
