EPS
Mission:
EPS's mission is to build on the firm foundation of Church teaching to provide adult lay Catholics with a solid intellectual and spiritual grounding for their faith, so they can understand, live and share it in their homes, parishes, community and workplaces.
EPS goals are:
- To foster a profound realization of the vocation of the Christian lay faithful
- To prepare lay people for informed
evangelization in their:
– Families
– Parishes and Dioceses
– Workplaces
– Communities
– Social/professional networks
In
particular, EPS programs are designed:

- union with Christ, "the source of the Church's whole apostolate"
- reliance on the power of his indwelling Spirit

- an intelligent grasp of the scriptural and theological grounds for its teaching

EPS Objectives:
EPS objectives are to provide Catholic lay people with
- Theological, Scriptural and pastoral education
- Spiritual formation
- Other training programs designed to prepare Catholic lay people for service in their parishes
- Training to fully participate in the Church's mission of evangelization in a variety of settings
